Aerial: As I looked at aerial landscapes I noted that many of them appear completely abstract and generally non representational if you don't know what you are looking at. And aerial landscapes often have fractal qualities. Both the abstract and fractal qualities of aerial landscape appeal to me. But I am strongly grounded in representational land, I believe my patrons want to know what they are looking at and so I place a bird in each aerial painting to provide a visual cue to the landscape that lies below.-Jake Contemporary aerial landscape with birds by AZ abstract artist Jake Beckman.
