Feed Me 36 inch x 48 inch acrylic on canvas. The canvas is painted to the exposed edge that it may be hung without a frame. FAR Tag  # : 1884. Feed Me is a close in study of a brilliant pink and yellow flowers of a staghorn cholla against the bright green back drop of the plant's thorny branches by Jake Beckman.

Staghorn cholla is one of the cactuses that is found in the wild around Phoenix. If we get enough rain and the proper mixture of sun at the right time the staghorns will bloom. The chollas bloom in several different colors; I don't know if different colors represent different species, but whether gold, pink or red, the flowers are lovely. The name of the painting comes from a camp classic movie, "Little Shop of Horrors."-Jake
