Blue Forehand Flip

Blue Forehand Flip is an original pastel painting on paper. The work is 12 x 8.5 inches. It is shown mounted in a 24 x 18 inch poster frame with two mats: black & black marbled paper. Blue Forehand Flip, by Jake Beckman, is all about the surfing fantasy. First all surf fantasy should have Blue in the title, but blue is especially appropriate for this scene as that is the predominant color. A surfer and a dolphin are both riding the waves; the surfer is preparing to execute the title move, a forehand flip. The colors are shades of the sea: blue, blue-green and white, the sleek grays of the dolphin and the warm sun-kissed tones of the blond female surfing. The Work is signed by the Artist, Jake, in the lower right hand corner. On the back of the work the title and date of creation are noted in pencil; the FAR Tag No. 2703 is placed in the region behind the signature on the back of the work. The work is federally copyrighted. All reproduction and publishing copyrights are retained by the artist.
