Binary Birds, by Jake Beckman - art that proudly projects you are member of the Social Media Tribe.
Cherish is an original acrylic painting on watercolor paper, which has been painted with gesso on both sides before the paint has been applied. The work is 6 1/4 x 4 1/2 inches. Cherish is by AZ portrait artist Jake Beckman. Read More about the creation of this painting here.
Cherish was painted for the second #twitterartexhibit, sponsored by David Sandum to benefit a women & children's crisis center in Moss, Norway. Cherish not only references the charity it is supposed to benefit, but also the social media connection via all the "twitter" artists who are participating. The small postcard size also reflects the 140 characters or less of a tweet.
In Cherish a young girl blows kisses at a canary held in her open hand. The colors are shades of brown, purple, warm pink, yellow and yellow ochre. The binary reads, "cherish." The Work is signed by the Artist, Jake, in the lower right hand corner. On the back of the work the title and date of creation are noted in paint; the FAR Tag No. 17564 is placed in the region behind the signature on the back of the work. The work is federally copyrighted. All reproduction and publishing copyrights are retained by the artist. Images are not to be copied, re-distributed, imitated, derived OR otherwise used in any form without the explicit written permission of the artist.
