e-lation is an original acrylic 24 inch x 18 inch painting on cold press 140 lb watercolor paper. The work is mounted in a 22-inch x 28-inch white mat, and mounted in a narrow corporate style antique silver colored wood frame. The paper has been treated with gesso on both sides to enhance its durability. In "e-lation" two obviously twitterpated yellowcanaries stare into each others' eyes. They are perched on the suggestion of a green heart shaped outline. 1/2 of the heart is overlaid with binary, which reads e-lation from top to bottom. The background is mottled shades of warm brown and green. The predominant colors are viridian, yellow, and shades of brown. The Work is signed by the Artist, Jake, in the lower right hand corner. On the back of the work the title and date of creation are noted in pencil; the FAR Tag No. 17484 is placed in the region behind the signature on the back of the work. The work is federally copyrighted. All reproduction and publishing copyrights are retained by the artist. Images are not to be copied, re-distributed, imitated, derived OR otherwise used in any form without the explicit written permission of the artist.
This painting is the sixth edition in my Social Media Birds series. I had never heard the term e-lation or e-lationshop until recently, but it makes sense. FYI, it refers to friend, lovers and other strangers who only know each other via electronic means and have never met fin-person. Once I heard the terminology of course it was a natural addition to the series - Jake
