Binary Birds, by Jake Beckman - art that proudly projects you are member of the Social Media Tribe. the web, www, the world wide web, the net-it is one of the things that make Social Media possible. 

the web is an original acrylic painting on gallery-wrapped stretched canvas. The work is 14 x 11 x 3/4 inches. It is painted on the edges so that it may be hung without a frame. the web, by Jake Beckman, a yellow canary sings in the trees. The branches of the trees and leaves are interconnected by the branches themselves and also by a gossamer nimbus that flows from the ends of the leaves reaching out to adjacent twigs. The tree is representative of the organic nature of the world wide web. Predominant colors are shades of blue, white, dark brown, yellow and touches of orange. In keeping with the Binary Birds social media theme the largest branch is overlaid with ASCII Binary reading "www the web ". The work is signed by the artist, "Jake," in the lower right hand corner. On the back of the work the title and date of creation are noted in paint; the FAR Tag No. 17516 is placed in the region behind the signature on the back of the canvas. A translation of the ASCII Binary is also provided in the rolled over margin of the canvas on the back. The swap image is the of the work displayed in a room. The work is federally copyrighted. All reproduction and publishing copyrights are retained by the artist.
