Entry constitutes permission to send you my newsletter, which comes out between once a week to once a month depending on how busy I am. My newsletter contains at least one image of new artwork and shows & news information. The contest runs through November 14, 2011 - maybe a smidge longer if necessary.
Its a Binary Birds painting, so I will be placing a string of binary in the background, which will reflect the title. This artwork is created digitally, meaning a print is its final fixed form. As such all prints made of this image are original artwork, in the same manner as a photograph is considered original artwork.
The artwork depicts a roller derby cardinal hip checking a raven skater, while a bald eagle referee cries fowl. This artwork is inspired by a new business venture of my fellow artist and friend Kristine Brambilla who has started a new venture Seven13Sk8, which will supply roller derby equipment. While she is waiting for supplies to roll in she has graciously offered her space from November 26, 2011 to December 10, 2011 for the MOB Reunion-the MOB is a group of artists she and I have shown with over the years.
