#twitterartexhibition is a small postcard created specifically for a twitter art exhibition in Moss Norway. The purpose of the exhibition is to get twitter-based artists together and to raise money for children's books for a public library in Norway. The project is put together by David Sandum. Each postcard received is symbolic of a tweet.
If you are an artist and want to participate in this event - contact d_sandum@hotmail.com. Here is a link to the call for artists. The deadline for David to receive the work in Norway is November 27, 2010.
#twitterartexhibition is 4.5 x 6 inches; it is acrylic on 140 pound cold press watercolor paper, which was treated with gesso on both side to enhance its durability. #twitterartexhibition, by Jake Beckman, is all about the tweet and this exhibition. A yellow baby canary tweets its little heart out. In keeping with the Binary Birds theme, the background is covered in ASCII Binary which reads, #twitterartexhibition. The Work is signed by the Artist, Jake, in the lower right hand corner. On the back of the work the title and date of creation are noted -along with the artist's name, country of origin and website, as required by the call; the FAR Tag No. 17524 is placed on the back of the work as well. The work is federally copyrighted. All reproduction and publishing copyrights are retained by the artist. Images are not to be copied, re-distributed, imitated, derived OR otherwise used in any form without the explicit written permission of the artist.
