ideas to reduce the cost of shipping.
- Several works at this site are on paper or loose canvas mounted in inexpensive poster frames. Clearly removing these works to ship in large envelopes or in mailing tubes (without the poster frame) can provide a significant savings in shipping charges-quite possibly more than enough to purchase a poster frame or in your locale. Consider that shipping and packaging for mounted art starts at $50, but many domestic carriers do supply certain kinds of packaging for free and therefore as much as $40 can be saved over the cost of shipping this art in a $15 poster frame and shipping it without that frame. - For stretched art, the price of shipping can be significantly reduced if the buyer will allow us to remove the art from the stretcher bars to ship; however, the buyer will need to locate a local framing or art shop to re-stretch the work and will be responsible for whatever fees they charge to remount the work. It maybe less costly to just pay for ABC LLC to ship the work flat. - In the case of framed artwork ABC LLC will sometimes allow the buyer to purchase a framed work unframed and discount the price & shipping accordingly, but it depends largely on whether the frame is specific to the work or if the frame can be used elsewhere; again if AKAJake ships the work unframed and un-stretched, the buyer will need to find a local framing shop and pay their fees for re-framing the work. It may be less expensive to let ABC LLC to ship the work framed. - The Buyer assumes the cost of shipping, packaging and import tariffs if applicable. This cost is in ADDITION to the quoted price of the artwork, print or gift.

- International Shipping
- International Shipping rates are much higher than shipping rates quoted elsewhere in this site.
- ABC LLC will likely use either DHL or FedEx for international shipping.
- A price quote on international shipping does not include import tariffs; tariffs if applicable are the responsibility of the buyer.

- ABC LLC usually ships by the least expensive means meeting ABC LLC's shipping requirements of online tracking, delivery confirmation and ability to insure a package, although at times expediency may override the price parameter. The shipper may vary depending on these needs.
- In general packaging (not including shipping) will run $10 to $20 (US) in ADDITION to shipping and the price of the artwork..

- Some shipping estimates:
- ABC LLC has not researched these prices since gas prices started rising. They could be a lot higher than reported below.
- Small paintings framed to 11 inches x 14 inches will cost around $50 for S&H
- Larger works such as unframed stretch canvas up to 30 inches x 40 inches will cost between $70-$160 for S&H.
- These are only estimates, subject to change without notice and not binding to ABC LLC.
- Shipping depends on how fast you want it, and when you want it among other
things.
- Shipping companies charge premium for speed, and special delivery extras like weekend delivery.
- If you want a package delivered in the evening or weekend or at a specified time, FedEx Ground charges a $5-15 premium for these special delivery services. The buyer assumes this additional cost as well.
- Furthermore folks who live in Alaska, Hawaii, and other territory outside the continental US also pay more in shipping.
- Speed is expensive.
- If you live in the boonies, e.g. Palmer Alaska etc, you may not be able to have a package delivered directly to your home or business, but instead may have to go to the Shipper's hub to retrieve the package.
